How to install Broadcom BCM43142 wireless drivers on Kali Linux 2.0 Simple Sec

For Kali Linux Rollings:




deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free
# For source package access, uncomment the following line
# deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free



After that normally install the following.


apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install -y linux-headers-$(uname -r)

3.Then the big surprise, Install synaptic.


apt-get install synaptic -y


-Then just open synaptic and search "bcm43142".

-You will see 3 different drivers.
broadcom-sta-common
broadcom-sta-dkms
broadcom-sta-source

-Mark for installation broadcom-sta-dkms and install it.

-Restart.
The wi-fi card will magicly come to life..
